1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using Small Steps Pro ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Small Steps Pro is an AI-powered coaching application that helps users get unstuck using a proven 3-question methodology. The Service includes:

• Unlimited coaching conversations with AI companion
• Conversation memory and pattern recognition
• Export functionality for your coaching sessions
• Mobile-optimized interface designed for neurodivergent users

3. Subscription and Payment

3.1 Subscription Fee

• Small Steps Pro costs £9 per month
• Payment is processed monthly in advance via Stripe
• All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes

3.2 Payment Terms

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• You can cancel at any time through your account settings
• Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period
• No refunds for partial months, except as required by law

3.3 Failed Payments

• If payment fails, your access may be suspended
• We'll attempt to process payment again according to Stripe's retry schedule
• Your account may be terminated after repeated payment failures

4. User Accounts and Security

4.1 Account Creation

• You must provide a valid email address and create a secure password
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• One account per person - no sharing accounts

4.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• We implement security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use Small Steps Pro for personal coaching and self-development purposes.

5.2 Prohibited Use

You may not:

• Use the Service for any illegal or harmful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise our systems
• Use automated tools to access the Service (bots, scrapers, etc.)
• Share your account credentials with others
• Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to extract or duplicate our AI training methodologies

6. Content and Data

6.1 Your Content

• You retain ownership of the conversations and content you create
• You can export your conversations in Markdown format at any time
• You can delete your conversations individually or request full account deletion

6.2 AI-Generated Content

• AI responses are generated based on your inputs and our coaching methodology
• AI content is provided for informational and coaching purposes only
• We do not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated advice

6.3 Data Processing

• We process your conversations with Anthropic's Claude AI to provide coaching responses
• Your data is used to improve your personal coaching experience
• We do not sell your personal data to third parties

7. Service Availability

7.1 Service Uptime

• We strive to maintain high service availability
• We do not guarantee 100% uptime due to maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues
• We'll communicate planned maintenance when possible

7.2 Service Changes

• We may modify features, pricing, or terms with reasonable notice
• Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notifications
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms

• The Small Steps Pro name, logo, and coaching methodology are our intellectual property
• The underlying software and AI integration are protected by copyright and other laws
• You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works without permission

• You retain rights to your conversation content
• You may export and use your coaching conversations for personal purposes
• You may share insights gained from your coaching sessions

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Small Steps Pro is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months prior to the claim
• Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you

11. Termination

11.1 By You

• You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
• You can request full account deletion by contacting us
• Access continues until the end of your current billing period

11.2 By Us

• We may terminate accounts that violate these terms
• We may suspend service for non-payment
• We may terminate the Service entirely with 30 days notice

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales. If you're a consumer in the EU, you may have additional rights under local consumer protection laws.
